She met the motorcycle taxi drivers when she was visiting Hoyane Village, the outermost area in Seko Tengah, which borders Mamuju, West Sulawesi.
According to the official website of North Luwu Regency, the residents of Hoyane Village have believed for years that no regional head would ever visit their area.
The road to Hoyane Village can only be traversed by motorcycles, with steep and uphill terrain. This terrain has made the residents of Hoyane Village believe that it is a barrier for government officials to come.
However, that belief was shattered by Indah. Riding a motorcycle taxi, she arrived at the remote village last Sunday
"The people in Hoyane believed that if a regent were to come, it would be a rare occurrence, and finally that myth was shattered when the regent arrived," said Seko Subdistrict Head Akbal Ali.
For Indah, distance is not a barrier to bringing the state to the community. She asks the residents in Seko not to lose hope. She promises to visit the remote area again.
"We will definitely come to Tana Seko again, to ensure that the state is always present among the community," said Indah.
