Dream - It's different during the month of Ramadan, not everyone in Indonesia can know if their friend or acquaintance is fasting voluntarily. This causes many people who are fasting to be invited to eat together. Those who are invited will be in a dilemma. On one hand, these people want to fast until it's time to break the fast. On the other hand, they feel uncomfortable and worried about offending feelings when rejecting the invitation. So what do friends of Dream usually do when they are in this situation? Moreover, accepting the invitation is one of the recommended sunnah deeds in Islam.

"This has been explained by Imam an-Nawawi in the book Riyadhus Shalihin, that if invited to eat while fasting, it is advisable to pray. Abu Hurairah RA said, 'The Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "If one of you is invited, then he should accept the invitation! If he is fasting, then he should pray, and if he is not fasting, then he should eat."' (Narrated by Muslim) The Prophet Muhammad commanded his followers to attend food invitations even if they do not eat. As narrated by Jabir bin Abdillah ra, he said, 'The Prophet saw said,'"

"If you are invited to a feast, then attend. If you want to eat, then eat, but if not, then it is permissible not to eat." (Sahih Muslim) In this case, what is obligatory for a Muslim is to attend the invitation. As for eating, it is not an obligation. Therefore, a feast invitation is not a valid excuse for someone to break their obligatory fasting."

Reading Bismillah: Before starting to eat, Muslims are taught to recite "Bismillah" (in the name of Allah) as an expression of gratitude and respect to Allah SWT. Using the Right Hand: Prophet Muhammad SAW recommended eating food with the right hand and avoiding the use of the left hand. Eating Moderately: Islam encourages consuming food in appropriate portions and avoiding excess. Maintaining Cleanliness: It is important to wash hands before and after eating and ensure cleanliness of the eating area.

Sharing Food: Giving food to others, especially those in need, is highly recommended in Islam as an act of kindness. Praying after Eating: After finishing a meal, it is advised to pray "Alhamdulillah" (all praise be to Allah) as an expression of gratitude for the blessings given. Appreciating Food: Appreciating every type of food and not wasting food is an important principle in Islam. Not Discussing Inappropriate Topics: While eating, avoid conversations that are disrespectful or inappropriate.

Consuming Halal and Thayyib Food: Halal (permissible) and thayyib (good and clean) food are highly emphasized in Islam. Sharing with Others: Islam encourages sharing food with others, especially when attending invitations or in the context of other social activities.
