Graduates with an education major also face similar difficulties. Although the teaching profession has relatively good job security, they are still paid by the government, which is unable to maintain wage stability in line with inflation.

If we look at the data of graduates entering the mid-career phase, ranging from ages 25-45, the education department occupies the top position with the lowest wage income.

The three majors produce an average annual income of $38,000 or around Rp602 million. That figure becomes the lowest annual income among the data of 75 other majors that were also studied by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
