"Dream - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) ensures that clean water has been distributed in the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN)."
The Minister of PUPR and Acting Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, explained that his team has conducted the third water flow test from the Drinking Water Treatment Plant (IPA) in Sepaku to the main reservoir of IKN located at the highest point.
The test results showed a positive outcome and were able to supply clean water that can be directly consumed to the Core Government Area (KIPP). This test is an important part of the operation of the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) Sepaku to meet the drinking water needs in IKN Nusantara.
"After the successful flow test, the system and network are currently being drained, while closely monitoring the water quality in the piping network to ensure good drinking water quality, in accordance with applicable health standards."
"It is expected that by the end of July 2024, SPAM Sepaku will be fully operational to serve the plots and buildings in IKN Nusantara."
"This is drinking water, not just clean water. Water from the taps in apartments and houses in IKN can be consumed directly. We continuously check the water quality before it enters the reservoir. We hope this drinking water can be utilized in the coming days."

According to information from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, the Sepaku SPAM consists of a water treatment plant with a capacity of 300 liters per second, a 16 km transmission pipe, a reservoir, and 22 km of distribution pipes.
"SPAM Sepaku stage I is targeted to serve the Office and Palace of the President, the State Secretariat, the Presidential Security Force, the complexes of Coordinating Ministry 1, 2, 3, and 4, Amphitheater, Gallery, Service Area, ASN Housing, Ministerial Position Residence (RTJM), and other public facilities such as hotels, schools, shops, and hospitals."
