One of the people who conducted experiments in farming is a farmer of onion from Guernsey, British Islands, named Garen Griffin.

Garen conducted an experiment by planting giant onions. This even made him achieve a world record from the Guinness World Records (GWR) for planting the largest onion in the world.

From the post on the official Guinness World Records Instagram account, @guinnessworldrecords, Garen showed a giant onion at the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show in North Yorkshire.

This onion weighs up to 8.97 kg and successfully broke the record for the world's largest onion in 2014, which weighed 8.5 kg.

"In general, the weight of an onion is only about 150 grams. This proves that Garen's onion weighs 53 times more than the usual onion. In addition, this giant onion is also mentioned to be heavier than a large-sized bowling ball as it usually weighs only 7.25 kg."

"Previously, before he passed away, Garen's father also once planted giant onions for many years. The onions planted by his father only weighed 7 kg. This made Garen want to do the same thing with heavier onions."
