Just look at the recipe shared by Chef Devina Hermawab. This Master Chef Indonesia graduate, shares a special recipe for Bali's signature grilled squid, called Cumi Bakar Jimbaran.
Seafood Jimbaran dishes are known for their rich, savory, and distinctive seasoning. When combined with grilled squid, the taste becomes even more flavorful and definitely pleases the palate. Take a look at the recipe, you can make it yourself at home.
- 470 gr large squid - 80 gr pineapple - half tsp salt - quarter tsp pepper
- 4-5 cloves of garlic- 7 cloves of shallots- 3 candlenuts- 1 packet of shrimp paste- 2 tablespoons of oil- 1 tablespoon of water- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce- 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce- ½ tablespoon of chili sauce- 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce- 100 ml of water
". 1. Clean the squid and then cut it open and skewer it with satay skewers. Cut the edges of the squid slightly with scissors. Marinate the squid with grated pineapple, salt, and pepper, spread evenly. Let it sit for 30 minutes."
3. Grind the spices and sauté until fragrant. Add chili sauce, oyster sauce, tomato sauce, water, and sweet soy sauce, cook for a few moments. 4. Wipe the squid a little with tissue, then grill for 5 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius.
5. Smear with Jimbaran seasoning and then continue grilling at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius for 5-7 minutes. 6. Serve grilled Jimbaran squid with rice.
