230 grams peeled shrimp 45 grams carrot 1 egg 2 tablespoons cornstarch 3 cloves of garlic 20 grams spring onion 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon flavor enhancer 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 pieces of tofu 1 tablespoon oyster sauce 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons water 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
Step 1: Chop garlic, shrimp, and scallions into pieces that are not too fine.
Copy the shrimp, scallion, and garlic into a bowl. Mix with carrot slices, cornstarch, salt, sugar, seasoning, and pepper. Also add eggs, but set aside a little bit of the whites to be used as adhesive for tofu and shrimp. Stir evenly.
Mix all sauce ingredients, starting from oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, pepper, and water in a small bowl. Stir well. Don't forget to adjust the taste according to personal preference.
"Cut the tofu into not too thin slices. After that, spread egg white on top of it and take a small amount of shrimp mixture to place on top of the tofu. Put the tofu into a steamer. After that, pour sauce on top of it to let the seasoning soak in more."
After steaming for 20 minutes, lift the tofu and shrimp. Transfer to a bowl or plate. Add sesame oil and finely sliced scallions to make it taste fresher and creamier. Dream friends can serve it with rice or enjoy it like dim sum.
