Dream - The government has signed regulations for the implementation of toll roads without gates, also known as multilane free flow (MLFF). With this new system, motor vehicle drivers will no longer need to attach an electronic card every time they want to pay toll fees.
Multilane free flow (MLFF) is regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 23 of 2024 concerning Toll Roads. As for this uninterrupted toll payment system, it has been established on the Bali Mandara Toll Road.
"The Director of Toll Road, Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Triono Junoasmono, stated that the Ministry of PUPR, together with PT Roatex Indonesia Toll System (RITS), is currently conducting an evaluation of the trial process."
"So the plan is that there will be improvements from yesterday. Yesterday, there may be some things that need to be perfected, not good enough, and so on, we will perfect it again,"

Still within those rules, in Article 67 paragraph 4 point a states, the minister ensures that the toll road business entity (BUJT) receives all income from every vehicle using the toll road according to the vehicle category and toll tariff.
With these provisions, Triono also guarantees that BUJT's income will remain 100 percent intact in the implementation of MLFF technology. "So there can be no doubt about what the technology is like. That is guaranteed," he said.
"Meanwhile, the Minister's Expert Staff for the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, in the field of Technology, Industry, and Environment, Endra S Atmawidjaja, stated that the implementation of MLFF becomes a government assignment to BUJT. With the determination of toll companies, both state-owned and private, not facing financial difficulties from the system, the government guarantees their income through Government Regulation No. 23/2024. 'The meaning is if something happens, the government will take over, and it is guaranteed, for example, by what? by the government's capital participation (PMN),' said Endra."
