Dream - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati reported that the budget for social assistance (bansos) in 2024 has sharply increased compared to the previous year.
According to Sri Mulyani, this year's social assistance budget has increased to Rp22.5 trillion, compared to the Rp9.6 trillion budget in 2023.
"The budget for social assistance has skyrocketed from Rp9.6 trillion to Rp22.5 trillion, or increased by 135.1 percent compared to the previous year."

Sri Mulyani detailed that the increase in social assistance budget includes Rp12.8 trillion for distribution at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).
The distribution includes 10 million beneficiary families (KPM) in the Family Hope Program (PKH) and food card for 18.7 million KPM.
"For the Ministry of Social Affairs, the distribution of PKH (Family Hope Program) amounting to Rp12.8 trillion is still ongoing for 10 million PKH recipients and 18.7 million (food card) recipients,\u201d"

Next, the distribution for the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) reached Rp7.7 trillion for the Recipient of Premium Assistance (PBI). Meanwhile, the distribution for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) amounted to Rp900 billion.
