Dream - Henley Passport Index has released a list of the strongest passports in the world in 2024. This index covers 199 passports and 227 travel destinations using exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Interestingly, the strongest passport in the world in 2024 is also held by France, which last year ranked 6th with 187 destinations.
Citizens of France are free to travel to 194 destinations worldwide without a visa. The same position is also held by Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain with the same 194 destinations.
"In 2023, Japan ranked first with 193 destinations."
Meanwhile, Indonesia ranks 69th out of 78 visa-free destinations, according to data seen on the henleyglobal.com website, Saturday, February 10, 2024.
Indonesia is still higher than other Southeast Asian countries such as the Philippines, ranked 78th with 69 visa-free countries. Meanwhile, Vietnam is in 92nd position with 55 visa-free destinations. Then Myanmar ranks 97th with 48 visa-free countries.
However, Indonesia's position is still far behind neighboring country Malaysia, which ranks 12th with visa-free access to 182 countries. Meanwhile, Brunei Darussalam is ranked 21st with visa-free access to 168 countries.
