This news shocked Evita because her tens of millions of money disappeared, not due to digital crimes such as skimming or the modes that have been rampant all this time.

In his confession, Evita suspected that her savings money went missing when she made a transaction using the QRIS service from BCA Mobile. She said she never made that transaction. Although she couldn't remember exactly when the money went missing from her account, Evita only realized that her savings decreased by Rp68.5 million when checking the balance through m-Banking on September 26, 2023.

"I only found out on the night of September 26th, when I wanted to transfer via m-banking, that my balance was insufficient. So, I checked my balance and it turned out to be only Rp10 million at that time, Rp10 million something."

Evita revealed in her interview on the YouTube channel of Mr. Bert, quoted on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Aware that her balance had decreased, Evita immediately checked her account transactions. She found a QRIS transaction worth Rp4 million on September 26. "Well, on the morning of the 26th (September), I was surprised because I didn't go anywhere, why is there a QR transaction worth Rp 4 million?" she said.

Evita also immediately contacted Halo BCA service to request the blocking of her m-banking and ATM accounts. When traced back, it turned out that the suspicious transactions did not occur only once. She found the same transactions during September 23-26, 2023.

Evita became more surprised with the existence of suspicious transactions. Because she claimed to have just bought her mobile phone specifically for transactions through mobile banking. She is also confident that there are no other applications that could potentially be the source of the problem.

Suspicion Evita continues to increase because she did not receive messages containing OTP codes, transaction notifications, or others every time there is a transaction made. On October 17, 2023, Evita also visited the BCA Salatiga branch office. She met several BCA staff and had a teleconference with halobca. "I was asked to find it, this is from her device, so she should find it, maybe it's being used by her child, her husband, or someone who knows," said Evita.

"Many times I have reported to BCA and BCA has not been able to provide a definite answer. This is a case that needs to be resolved. Because BCA is the safest bank in Indonesia. If there is indeed a strange transaction like that, then BCA must return the funds and fix its system. However, if Evita is wrong, then Evita must clarify and we will still say that BCA is the safest bank," wrote the description on YouTube channel."

"In connection with a complaint from one of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk's customers ("BCA") regarding a QRIS transaction using BCA mobile, we would like to inform you that BCA always conducts its business and operations in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Currently, the customer's complaint is being handled by the relevant authorities," said Hera in an official written statement received by Dream on Wednesday, November 15, 2023."

BCA respects and will support the ongoing legal process in accordance with applicable law. "In addition, in providing services to customers, BCA always pays attention to customer safety in conducting transactions. This is done, among other things, by asking customers to enter their Access Code and Personal Identification Number (PIN) when conducting financial transactions on BCA mobile," added Hera.

BCA also reiterates to customers not to provide any personal data that is confidential to anyone (including relatives or close acquaintances), such as: - PIN - One Time Password (OTP) - Password - Response Key BCA Access Code - Card Verification Code (CVC) or Card Verification Value (CVV)
