Commissioner of BP Tapera, Heru Pudyo Nugroho, explained that the deducted wages of workers will be saved by participants periodically for a certain period of time, which can only be used for housing financing or returned as the principal deposit plus the accumulated results after the membership ends. Heru revealed that Tapera is beneficial for participants from the Low Income Community (MBR) who participate in the Tapera program.

They can obtain benefits in the form of Home Ownership Credit (KPR), Home Construction Credit (KBR), and Home Renovation Credit (KRR) with a long tenure of up to 30 years and a fixed interest rate below the market interest rate.
