"Dream - Hajj is one of the worship that cannot be said to be easy to perform. That is why, even though this worship is obligatory, it is obligatory for those who are capable. As Allah SWT said in Surah Ali Imran verse 97: 'Performing Hajj is a duty of mankind towards Allah, that is for those who are able to undertake the journey to the House of Allah.' So, what is the measure of capability to be able to perform the Hajj? This is certainly important to be known by every Muslim."

The first capability is to be physically healthy. Because in the pilgrimage, it requires a considerable amount of energy. Therefore, it must be ensured that the body is truly in a fit and healthy condition. Even so, there are quite a few elderly people and disabled individuals who perform the pilgrimage. They usually receive assistance from others such as volunteers or their own family members. Or they are usually assisted with a wheelchair to be able to move around.

"How it is explained by Syekh Sa'id bin Muhammad Ba'asyin: "The fifth obligatory condition is that the person performing the hajj is able to stay in the vehicle without excessive difficulty. If not, then it is not obligatory to perform the hajj by oneself. However, if the person is disabled, there will be an explanation later.""

The second capability is in terms of adequate transportation. For example, Indonesian people have a very long distance between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Therefore, a suitable means of transportation, such as an airplane, is needed to reach it. Well, in this regard, Indonesian Muslims certainly also need a significant amount of money to finance transportation and various accommodations during Hajj. In addition, transportation is also needed during the pilgrimage rituals.

It should also be noted that the means of transportation referred to is not limited to airplane tickets. But it is required to exceed the basic needs of clothing and food, for oneself and the family whose livelihood is obligatory. Starting from the departure until returning from the Hajj pilgrimage.

The meaning of safety is the assurance of one's life, property, and dignity during the journey and process of performing the Hajj pilgrimage. So, when there is a threatening or worrying condition while heading to the holy land, then the obligation to perform the Hajj pilgrimage is not required.

As explained by Sheikh Zainuddin Al-Malibari: "And it is required for the obligation of Hajj, the safety of the journey for oneself and one's wealth, even from robbers, even if only a small amount is taken. And also a strong presumption of safety for those who travel by boat, so if there is a high possibility of death due to the severity of the waves in certain conditions or the percentage is the same, then it is not obligatory, even forbidden to take a sea route journey for oneself and others."

Women are required to be accompanied by their husband, mahram (male relative whom they cannot marry), or trusted women.
