Dream - The number of hajj pilgrims who died in Saudi Arabia reached 1,000 people. The main cause of hajj pilgrims' deaths is generally triggered by extreme hot weather.
According to Middle East Eye, the total number of hajj pilgrims who died from 10 countries reached 1,081 people. The latest report states that 58 hajj pilgrims from Egypt died on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Last year, various countries reported more than 300 deaths during the Hajj pilgrimage, with the majority being Indonesian citizens. This hot temperature also caused many bodies of pilgrims to be allegedly abandoned on the streets. These bodies are believed to have died as a result of heat stroke following extreme weather of over 50 degrees Celsius.
