The following is the translation of the 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "Adab bercermin according to Islamic perspective is a highly recommended action. Bercermin (reflecting) is a way to do self-introspection, to see one's condition, and to improve oneself to be better in the future. In Islam, adab bercermin covers several things that need to be considered, including the following:"
Before looking in the mirror, a Muslim is recommended to perform ablution first in order to be in a state of purity. Examining oneself honestly and objectively without any sense of arrogance. Remembering one's shortcomings and sins and striving to improve oneself for the better in the future. Looking in the mirror with a sincere and sincere intention to improve oneself in order to get closer to Allah SWT. The etiquette of looking in the mirror also includes humility and not being arrogant in looking at one's own goodness.
"Islam does not prohibit Muslim women from wearing makeup. However, several etiquettes should be observed to avoid falling into deviation and arrogance. Here are some ethics when wearing makeup according to Islam:"
You should intend to worship when applying makeup. You may wonder why wearing makeup is referred to as worship. In truth, all the good deeds we do in this world, if intended for worship, will be more blessed and rewarded.
"Dream friends also need to pay attention to the ingredients used in makeup. You must ensure that the ingredients and the way it is made are halal according to the sharia. In other words, you should not use makeup made from forbidden ingredients such as pork, dogs, and so on."
"For Muslim women who use makeup, it is better not to intend to show off. Especially if it is intended to attract the attention of men who are not mahram, this is highly forbidden in religion."
Using makeup is allowed, as long as it doesn't damage your face. So you have to make sure that the makeup you use doesn't contain harmful ingredients that ultimately damage your face. Because we are advised to take care of and maintain our bodies as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT.
Use makeup in moderation, there is no need for excess. Because everything that is excessive is not good for us. This is according to the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud RA, that the Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "Those who are excessive are doomed." Meanwhile, Ibn Jureij from Atho' bin Abi Raba'ah said, "They are forbidden from being excessive in everything."
Dressing up is a common thing done by women. Men also cannot deny doing this. It is best that we dress up with the intention of taking care of what Allah SWT has bestowed upon us.
