"Dream - The automotive industry is not only about powerful engines or innovative vehicle features. Automotive manufacturers also pay attention to the environment, as encouraged by PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia and PT Toyota-Astra Motor, which are organizing Toyota Eco Youth (TEY) for the 13th time."
TEY is a competition for high school (SMA) and equivalent level students in project and innovative environmental improvement. Through this program, both companies hope that the TEY competition will increase awareness and concern among the young generation of Indonesia, as well as bridge the contribution to solving environmental problems in a tangible way.
Kick off TEY ke-13 is held today, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics, Kota Tua Jakarta. This year's TEY program carries the theme "EcoActivism, Time to Act and Protect the Earth" which focuses on the efforts of the younger generation to decarbonize.

Initiated in 2005, TEY has emerged as a competition for the environmental greening movement and care by Toyota Indonesia (PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia and PT Toyota-Astra Motor).
This program has involved the participation of high school students or equivalent up to 1,700 high schools from 34 provinces in Indonesia, with a total project proposal reaching nearly 4,000 proposals.

As a sustainable program, TEY also contributes to building an eco gallery, which is a facility for environmental learning. A total of 32 schools in various regions of Indonesia that consistently participate in this competition, receive eco gallery facilities as classrooms for learning and activities related to environmental projects and innovations.
