This prayer is mentioned in a hadith from the narration of Umar bin Khatab ra, the Prophet Muhammad pbuh said: 'Whoever enters the market and then recites: Laa ilaaha illallaah wahdahu laa syariika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa 'ala kulli syai'in qodiir (There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is capable over all things),'

He is the Ever-Living, who never dies. In His hands lies all goodness, and He is capable of everything. Whoever recites the above prayer when entering the market, Allah will record for him one million goodness and erase from him one million bad deeds.
