Dream - Who can resist the deliciousness of a chocolate cake similar to Beng Beng? With a crispy texture and a tempting chocolate flavor, this cake can be the perfect choice to serve at home during the upcoming Lebaran.
Although its name is similar to the popular Beng Beng chocolate, this cake is actually made from a mixture of cocoa powder and peanuts, not from the usual chocolate products we find in supermarkets.
The following 'Bahasa' text translated to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "This chocolate cake will be an interesting dish among nastar, snow princess, kastengel, peanut cake, chocochips, and various other Lebaran snacks. Want to try making it? Here is an easy recipe for chocolate peanut cake that can make it even sweeter and warmer during Idul Fitri later."
Ingredients: 2 eggs, 500 grams of peeled peanuts, 50 grams of cocoa powder, 50 grams of cornstarch, 250 grams of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste.
How to Make: First, prepare peanuts and then roast them over low heat. Make sure the peanuts are roasted until they turn golden yellow. Then, drain and crush the peanuts, but not too finely. Just crush them roughly to get a texture like Beng Beng chocolate, then set aside. Prepare a container, put in eggs, vanilla paste, granulated sugar. Whisk all the ingredients until the sugar dissolves, the mixture also looks smooth and fluffy.
Next, add cornstarch and cocoa powder to the egg mixture. Stir evenly using a spatula. Gradually add crushed peanuts while stirring the mixture with a spatula. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly mixed. Prepare a baking pan and line it with parchment paper. Then, take one tablespoon of the mixture, flatten it on the baking pan. Repeat this process until the mixture is finished.
Bake the shaped cake in the oven at a temperature of 160 degrees Celsius. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the cake is cooked and hardened. You can check the cake's readiness with a fork. If the fork comes out clean from the cake, it means it is cooked and ready to be taken out. Drain the beng beng cake, let it cool for a while until the steam evaporates. Put it in an airtight jar, and the cake is ready to be served as a Lebaran snack. Source: Diadona.id
