Dream - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said that employees of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and state-owned companies are allowed to take a day off on Friday. However, there are conditions that must be met.
According to Erick Thohir, this is an effort to anticipate mental health issues. Employees will eventually enjoy a longer weekend, or for 3 days.

Erick explains that the requirement that must be fulfilled by employees who take a day off on Friday is the amount of work hours already completed within that week.
Erick is trying to calculate, if employees have worked for 40 hours during that week, there is an opportunity to take a day off on Friday.
"If you have worked more than 40 hours, you have an alternative at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, I don't know about state-owned companies, but they should be able to take a day off on Friday."

He emphasized, this is not solely to reduce working hours in one week. He mentioned that taking holidays can be done twice in one month.
"We encourage this not because we want to make you all lazy. It doesn't mean we have a day off every Friday. If you have worked more than 40 hours a week, you can register, and twice a month on Fridays can be an alternative for a day off. We do that," he explained.
