Dream - The month of Ramadan will arrive soon. Muslims all over the world will observe the fourth pillar of Islam, which is fasting. Despite fasting, of course, Muslims, including civil servants, will continue to work.
Usually, the Indonesian government will issue a circular regarding the adjustment of civil servant working hours within the government during the month of Ramadan.
In essence, the normal working hours for employees in Indonesia are 7 to 8 hours per day. Referring to Circular Letter (SE) of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Number 6 of 2023 regarding the Working Hours of Civil Servants in the Month of Ramadan 1444 H in Government Institutions.
"In the SE it is explained that for government institutions that implement a 5-day work week, working hours during the month of Ramadan from Monday to Thursday start from 08.00 to 15.00 with a break time from 12.00-12.30."
While for Friday, it starts from 08.00-15.30 with a break time from 11.30-12.30. Meanwhile, for government agencies that implement a 6-day work week, it applies from Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 08.00-14.00 with a break time from 12.00-12.30.
Then, for Friday, it starts at 08.00-14.00 with a break time from 11.30-12.30. It is important to note that working hours are adjusted to the time zone of each government agency.
The effective working hours for central and regional government agencies that implement a 5 or 6-day work week during Ramadan must meet a minimum of 32.5 hours per week.
However, until now the government has not issued any new regulations or circulars regarding working hours during Ramadan 1445 H/2024.
