Dream - President Jokowi has removed 12 projects from the National Strategic Projects (PSN). One of them is the Jakarta-Surabaya Semi High-Speed Train. It should be noted that the project that was removed by the government is the Semi High-Speed Train project with a maximum speed of up to 160 km per hour. Meanwhile, the High-Speed Train project to Surabaya is still in the process of being studied together with several related parties.
Assistant Deputy for Acceleration and Utilization of Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Suroto, said that the elimination of the project refers to the evaluation results of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs with the Committee for Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP), as well as its technical ministries.
The decision is stated in the Minister of Coordinating Economic Affairs Regulation Number 8 of 2023 regarding the Fourth Amendment to the Minister of Coordinating Economic Affairs Regulation Number 7 of 2021 concerning changes to the list of National Strategic Projects.
"So, in 2023 the Coordinating Minister did issue 12 PSNs from the PSN list."
The text translates to: "The word Suroto is quoted from Merdeka.com, Monday, February 12, 2024."
"Dream.co.id"
Suroto explains that one of the factors for the correction of the project is the development of the 12 PSN construction, which has not shown any progress yet.
"Indeed, until Semester II-2023, it seems that there has been no progress, so yesterday it was proposed by the technical Ministry and has received guidance from Mr. President to be removed from the PSN list.""
word Suroto.
Although so, the 12 projects including the Jakarta-Surabaya Semi High-Speed Train can still be built. However, its status is no longer a national priority program but rather regular development.
"But even though they are removed from the PSN list, they still carry out regular programs, but without receiving PSN facilities," said Suroto.
In response to the matter, GM Corporate Secretary of Indonesia China High-Speed Train (KCIC), Eva Chairunisa, explained that they are open to various planning discussions. They will support when assigned in the future to continue the Jakarta-Surabaya Semi High-Speed Train project. "So, if it is related to the high-speed train program extension to Surabaya, our management will support if there is an assignment," said Eva.
