"As a conclusion, coffee beans rich in polyphenols and milk containing protein have anti-inflammatory properties when consumed together. The same applies to other beverages and foods that have the same ingredients," said Marianne Nissen Lund, a professor at the Department of Food Science, University of Copenhagen."
"I can imagine the same thing happening with, for example, meat dishes with vegetables or smoothies, if you make sure to add protein like milk or yogurt," said Nissen.
