1. Atur Naas

The first reaction experienced by the body when experiencing anxiety is irregular heartbeat and difficulty breathing. Controlling the breath slowly will make the body and mind of Sahabat Dream become more relaxed.

               

There are several steps to regulate breathing properly, namely: Find a quiet and comfortable place, then place one hand on the chest and the other hand on the abdomen. Take a slow and regular breath through the nose, Exhale slowly through the mouth. Repeat this process until your body is more relaxed and the anxious reaction decreases.

2. Imagine the Soothing

"If Dream friends suddenly experience anxiety, try to imagine something soothing. Those places can be real or imaginary, as long as they are comfortable for you. Keep imagining that calming place and start thinking about the small things in that place."

               

Experience the aroma, sound, taste, and imagine yourself enjoying the most comfortable place in your imagination. After successfully imagining that place, begin to close your eyes and take a slow breath through your nose and mouth. Continue to imagine that comfortable place until your anxiety disappears.

3. Relaxing Muscles

When Dream Friends feel anxious, perhaps the muscles will also tense up along with the tension created in your mind and feelings. You can try to relax the muscles so that the tension in your mind and feelings also disappears. Try to find a comfortable place, close your eyes, and start breathing slowly through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

               

Next, clench your fists for a few seconds and slowly open your fingers. While slowly opening your fingers, feel and embrace the relaxed feeling that is created in your fingers. Do the same thing at several tense points on your body, such as your legs, clothes, and even your feet. However, Sahabat Dream needs to be careful if you are injured, don't let the injury worsen because of carelessness.

4. Counting

If anxiety starts to interfere, try to start counting and focus on your count until Sahabat Dream can be free from anxiety symptoms. Try to find a quiet place and close your eyes, then start counting slowly from number 1 to number 10. If it hasn't worked yet, try to increase the count to 20 and so on.

               

5. Try to Stay Conscious

In a state of excessive anxiety, one may lose consciousness or self-control if not well maintained. Therefore, it is important to control the mind to stay conscious. To keep yourself conscious, you can find a quiet place and close your eyes. Try to feel and focus on every sensation happening within your body. Focusing on oneself will help Sahabat Dream overcome excessive feelings of anxiety.

6. Don't Focus on Your Anxiety

"To stop anxiety, Sahabat Dream must try to break free from that cycle and do not think about things that trigger stress and make you feel pressured. You can divert your anxious and pressured thoughts and start thinking about other things such as cheerful songs, loved ones, or a wish list of places to eat.
