However, in Islam, it is taught to surrender everything to Allah SWT in addition to making efforts. Praying becomes the solution to every difficulty, including when experiencing difficulty sleeping. Zaid bin Tsabit during his lifetime once experienced difficulty sleeping. Then he prayed, where the prayer is found in the book of Ibn Sunni as follows: Allahumma gharatin nujum wa dahaatil 'uyun, wa anta hayyun qayyum, la takkhuzuka sinatun wala naumun. Ya hayyu ya qayyum, ahdi' laili wa anim'aini.

               

It means: "O Allah SWT, the stars have faded, the eyes have closed, and You are the Ever-Living and Ever-Continuing in taking care of creatures. Sleep and drowsiness do not befall You. O the One who is the Ever-Living and the One who takes care of creatures, calm my night and make my eyes sleep."

Khalid bin Walid also experienced difficulty sleeping. Eventually, he complained about his problem to the Prophet Muhammad. Then, the Prophet advised Khalid to recite the following prayer: "A'udhu billahi min ghadabihi wa sharri 'ibadihi wa min hamazatish shayatin wa ayyahdurun." It means: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger, from the evil of His servants, from the whispers of devils, and from their presence."

               

"How to Overcome Difficulty Sleeping According to Islam"

In addition to reciting prayers when having difficulty sleeping, Sahabat Dream can also accompany it with efforts. Here are some ways to quickly fall asleep according to Islam that you can practice:

"1. Get used to performing Wudhu before sleeping."

Before going to sleep, it is advisable for Dream's friend to perform ablution first. The purpose of this is to maintain purity, provide tranquility, and be protected from bad dreams. This advice is also explained in a hadith narrated by Bukhari: "When you want to go to bed (sleep), then you should perform ablution first, just as you perform ablution for prayer." (HR. Bukhari)

2. Hurry to sleep after Isha prayer

When going to sleep at night, it is advisable for Dream's friends to sleep after performing the isya prayer. By doing so, you can also sleep more peacefully. In addition, avoid sleeping too late at night. Besides maintaining health, it also makes it easier for Dream's friends to wake up in the middle of the night and perform the night prayer.
