Dream - Enjoy culinary delights with authentic Singaporean flavors, now you don't need to fly by plane to the Lion City. You can find Singaporean cuisine by visiting Little Red Dot, which has just opened at Central Park Mall, West Jakarta.
Little Red Dot is under the umbrella of GF Culinary, a company that manages a range of renowned restaurants such as Song Fa, Marutama Ramen, Ojju, and others. This restaurant officially opened on July 6, 2024. Fishball Noodle is the main menu at Little Red Dot, specially crafted by Chef Douglas Ng from Singapore. He has even received the Michelin Bib Gourmand award, you know. Douglas Ng is also a Co-Founder of Little Red Hot.
"Little Red Dot is my dream to bring the authentic taste of Singapore to Indonesia and I want to invite culinary enthusiasts to savor the unique flavors of Singapore," said Douglas Ng in the media testing and experience."
Little Red Dot has become a pioneer of Singaporean restaurants, which are currently not widely established in the homeland. The name 'Little Red Dot' is inspired by the nickname of pride given to Singapore by its people.
Douglas said the story behind Little Red Dot began with Douglas's love for his grandmother's homemade fishball dish. Little Red Dot implements the concept of Casual Quick Dining, which allows visitors to enjoy food quickly while still experiencing a relaxed atmosphere and quality food. The food served at Little Red Dot is guaranteed to be 100 percent halal as it does not contain pork or alcohol.
Special dishes from Singapore that are the mainstay include Fishball Noodle, which is served with fishball, fishcake, fish dumpling, and crispy fish fries. This fishball dish is made from 100% yellowtail fish without any added flour and preservatives.
Then Yong Tau Foo, a typical Singaporean dish with Hakka-style cooking. In one serving plate, there is a combination menu of chewy tofu, vegetables, and meatballs.
Next, there is Hainanese Golden Curry Rice, this dish combines the richness of curry flavor with traditional elements of Hainanese cuisine. Savory taste, mild spiciness, and distinctive aroma of spices.
In addition to the main menu selection, some favorite menus from appetizers to desserts must also be tried, including Carrot Cake, Cheong Fun, Grandma's Sweet Memory Soup, and Iced Bird's Nest Jelly.
Interestingly, despite serving Singaporean cuisine, all ingredients from fish to spices originate from Indonesia.
