Dream - Prospective Hajj pilgrims who have already registered will depart in 2024 but have postponed their departure due to pregnancy, can go on Hajj in 2025. This was conveyed by the Secretary of the Hajj Worship Organizer Officer (PPIH) of Surabaya Embarkation, Abdul Haris, on Friday, May 24, 2024.
"There is one person who postponed their departure from batch 50. They postponed it to next year because they happen to be pregnant. And this is a choice because the person has been married for 15 years, never been pregnant before, and only found out about the first pregnancy just before the departure, so they chose to postpone their departure," said Haris. "Make a distinction between failed departure and postponed departure. Postponed departure this year means departure next year. Even though it didn't happen this year, they will depart next year," he added."
He said, batch 5 pilgrims who experienced a delayed departure, have entered a pregnancy age of more than 26 weeks. Meanwhile, the eligible pregnancy age to board a plane is not more than 26 weeks.
"Because the pregnancy is already more than 26 weeks. Because the limit for pregnant women who can still depart or are eligible to fly is between 14 weeks and 26 weeks," said Haris. Furthermore, Haris stated that the quota of pilgrims who postpone their departure will be filled by prospective pilgrims who are registered in the reserve quota."
"We will fill from the reserves, then we will increase it to the departing portion. So that we avoid any open seat," he explained. Previously, the second wave of Hajj pilgrims began to depart for Saudi Arabia on Friday, May 24, 2024. They will land at King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah and depart to Mecca to perform the obligatory Umrah."
Head of the Worship Guidance Department at the Saudi Arabian Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH), Zulkarnain Nasution, has requested that the second wave of Hajj pilgrims perform the sunnah ablution and wear the ihram garment starting from the embarkation point.
"Kami minta Tim Pimbingbing Ibadah Haji Indonesia (TPHI) Kloter to pay attention to the pilgrims during departure, so that they have performed the sunnah bath and wear the ihram cloth since in the embarkation area," said Zulkarnain in Jeddah, Friday, May 24, 2024. "Especially for the pilgrims who have gone through the fast track service," he added.
This is expected to facilitate pilgrims who will take miqat in Yalamlam. So, they do not need to take a bath or change their ihram clothes on the plane.
