Dream - Photography has become a lifestyle for some people. In photography, choosing the camera and shooting techniques become important factors in order to capture good images.
Stuart Collin, an actor who used to star in several movies and soap operas, has now become a Travel Photography Enthusiast and shares his experiences in photography.
During traveling and capturing many photos, Stuart apparently only brought one camera that he kept in a small bag for practicality. According to him, choosing a compact and not too big camera makes it easier to capture every moment without missing out. "In the past, I used to bring a bag with a camera and lens inside, but now I don't need to do that anymore. Now I can just put it in any bag and it's done. So I just take out the camera, take photos, and then put it back in the bag," said Stuart when attending the launch event of the "FujiFilm X100VI" camera at M Bloc Space in South Jakarta on Saturday, March 16.
Daily life, according to Stuart, a travel photographer, is an unmissable moment. For that, practical equipment is needed.
"If in the past, I had to constantly change lenses, sometimes I would miss moments and choose the wrong lens. I should have used this lens instead. But because this camera is small, whenever there's a moment, I take it out of my bag and take a photo. In the past, the lens was long, so it was difficult," said Stuart when attending the launch event of the "FujiFilm X100VI" camera at M Bloc Space, South Jakarta, on Saturday, March 16th."
Apart from the size, he also chooses a camera with a high megapixel so that the resulting image resolution is sharper. The presence of IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization) on the camera also helps in capturing images and videos while traveling, as it reduces shaking when we are holding the camera. If traveling abroad, Stuart also prefers to use a camera equipped with weather resistance so that it can withstand all weather conditions.
Stuart also shares tips if we want to try photography. According to him, take more pictures, don't be afraid of making mistakes, and have confidence in the pictures we capture.
Searching for photo references or using other photographers as role models can also be done to learn what their photography style is like, how they capture their images, and then try to apply it when taking photos.
When asked about the challenges in travel photography, Stuart said that the most important thing is to find the moments we want to capture and the timing, then choose the location. In one day, Stuart usually takes a minimum of 100 photos. He also shared his most memorable experience when taking photos in Turkey, where he tried to capture the grandfathers sitting on a boat and enjoying the view.
According to Stuart, that moment was special because in a dark room, there were humans and a glass that naturally illuminated the face of the grandfather. Stuart apparently recommends the new collection of FujiFilm X100VI cameras with many new and advanced features that help him capture every moment. This camera, which will be launched on March 23, 2024, officially marks the presence of the sixth generation of X100.
This camera is priced at Rp 27.5 million and features the latest "X-Transâ„¢ CMOS 5 HR"1 sensor with a resolution of up to 40.2MP. Equipped with the "X-Processor 5" feature, X100VI can process images at high speed and produce the best image quality and performance. In addition, in-body image stabilization feature up to 6.0 stops is also embedded. With its compact design, users can rely on X100VI to capture photos and videos in various landscapes and needs.
