Dream - Indonesian National Football Team Player, Witan Sulaeman, became one of the hajj pilgrims who joined the 9th Embarkation Group (kloter) from Balikpapan (BPN-9). Departing together with his wife and family, Witan arrived at King Abdul Aziz International Airport (KAAIA) in Jeddah on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Witan registered for hajj in 2019, while his wife registered earlier in 2012. Thanks to the mahram merging program by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Witan and his wife can perform hajj together this year.
"I volunteered for the mahram merger and alhamdulillah it was approved. Four months ago, I processed the data and forms, and two months ago I was able to depart with my wife," said Witan quoted from the Kemenag website, Monday, May 27, 2024.
Witan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform Hajj this year with his beloved wife and also his family. "I am very grateful to be able to go on Hajj. I am very proud to be able to come to Saudi Arabia," said Witan.
In the midst of his busy schedule performing the Hajj pilgrimage, Witan doesn't forget to pray for the Indonesian National Team. The midfielder of Garuda Indonesia hopes that the national team can achieve victory and qualify for the World Cup.

On that occasion, Witan also appreciates the performance of the hajj officers. According to him, the officers are very helpful to the pilgrims, especially for the elderly category.
"Petugas haji certainly helps hajj pilgrims, because not all pilgrims are young people. There are elderly people, there are mothers, there are fathers," said Witan. "So, with the presence of hajj officers, they can assist hajj pilgrims who are confused. Especially those who are performing the hajj for the first time. So the presence of officers is very, very helpful. Thank you," expressed Witan."
He conveyed, realizing elderly-friendly hajj is not only the responsibility of the officers, but also of all pilgrims.
