Dream - When entering the month of Ramadan, Muslims simultaneously begin fasting for a full month. One of the anticipated moments during fasting is the time to break the fast. However, when the call to prayer is heard, it is recommended for every fasting Muslim to not immediately consume food or drink.
Breaking the fast has a procedure that must be followed, one of which is to recite the iftar prayer according to the Sunnah. The iftar prayer according to the Sunnah is offered as an expression of gratitude for successfully completing the fast from dawn until sunset smoothly.
The following 'Bahasa' text translated to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "The following iftar prayer according to the Sunnah is narrated by Imam Abu Dawud from the Companion Abdullah bin 'Umar. 'Dzahabaz zhama’u wabtallatil ‘urûqu wa tsabatal ajru, insyâ Allah.' Meaning: "Thirst has been quenched and veins have been moistened, and the reward remains, God willing."
"Kami mendapat riwayat dari Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Yahya, yaitu Abu Muhammad, kami mendapat riwayat dari Ali bin Hasan, kami mendapat riwayat dari Husein bin Waqid, kami mendapat riwayat dari Marwan, yaitu Bin Salim Al-Muqaffa‘, ia berkata bahwa aku melihat Ibnu Umar menggenggam jenggotnya, lalu memangkas sisanya. Ia berkata, Rasulullah bila berbuka puasa membaca, ‘Dzahabaz zhama’u wabtallatil ‘urûqu wa tsabatal ajru, insyâ Allah’" (HR. Abu Dawud)" Translation: "We received a narration from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Yahya, also known as Abu Muhammad, we received a narration from Ali bin Hasan, we received a narration from Husein bin Waqid, we received a narration from Marwan, namely Bin Salim Al-Muqaffa‘. He said that I saw Ibn Umar holding his beard and then trimming the rest. He said, when the Prophet broke his fast, he would recite, 'Dzahabaz zhama'u wabtallatil 'urûqu wa tsabatal ajru, insyâ Allah' (Narrated by Abu Dawud)."
The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "Doa berbuka puasa sesuai sunnah berikutnya diriwayatkan oleh Imam Bukhari dan Muslim dari sahabat Mu'adz bin Zuhrah. اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ، وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُAllâhumma laka shumtu, wa 'alâ rizqika afthartu.' It means: "O Allah, for You I have fasted, and with Your sustenance I break my fast."
"Those who fast are advised to recite the following after breaking their fast, 'Allâhumma laka shumtu, wa 'alâ rizqika afthartu.' This is because the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) recited this prayer, which is narrated by Imam Bukhari and Muslim," (Syekh M Khatib As-Syarbini, Al-Iqna in Hamisy Bujairimi alal Khatib).
Apart from the two recommended iftar prayers mentioned above, there is also a complete version of the prayer by Sulaiman Bujairimi in the book Hasyiyah Iqna. In that book, the iftar prayer is explained as follows: Translation: "O Allah, for You I have fasted and with Your provision I have broken my fast, and in You I have believed and upon You I have relied. Thirst has gone, veins are moistened, and the reward is ensured, if Allah wills. O All-Generous, forgive me, praise be to Allah who has guided me to fast and provided for me so that I have broken my fast."
"Allahumma laka shumtu wa 'ala rizqika afthartu, wa bika amantu, wa bika 'alaika tawakkalatu, dzahabadzh dzhama-u wabtalatil-'uruqu wa tsabatal-ajru insyaa-Allah. Ya wasi'al-fadhli ighfirli alhamdulillahilladzi hadani fashumtu, wa razaqani fa-afthartu Meaning: "O Allah, I fast for You alone. With Your sustenance, I break it. I surrender to You. Thirst has gone. Veins are moist and, God willing, rewards remain. O the Most Generous, forgive me. All praise be to God who has guided me, so I fast. And all praise be to God who has provided for me, so I break it."
