Dream - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) announced the list of increases in the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) 2024. This UMPP is determined by the provincial government (pemprov) or governor based on recommendations from the Provincial Wage Council.
The determination of UMP refers to Government Regulation (PP) Number 51 of 2023, which is a revision of PP Number 36 of 2021 regarding wages. The announcement of UMP is made no later than November 21 each year and takes effect on January 1 of the following year.
The determination of UMP is based on the minimum living needs of workers per month in each region. This is because the standard of decent needs varies in each province. In addition, UMP becomes the minimum standard that must be complied with by employers or industrial actors in providing wages to workers in their business areas.
