Member of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Media Center, Widi Dwinanda, explained that pilgrims can report issues regarding consumption, accommodation, transportation, and missing individuals through this application. The report will be monitored and promptly followed up by officials. Not only that, other pilgrims can also provide their response to the reported information.
"For officials, Kawal Haji can be a means to obtain updates on the situation and condition of the pilgrims directly from the first-hand, quickly and accurately," said Widi in his statement quoted on Tuesday, May 28, 2024."
He mentioned, this application can also retrieve reports directly from customers. So that officers can quickly detect and assist if a problem occurs. "Officers can also update the progress of problem handling," he said.
"Benefits for the Jemaah Family"
Not only for pilgrims and officials who are performing Hajj, this application also helps the families of pilgrims to obtain quick and reliable information regarding the situation and conditions in the Holy Land. The families can also report if their relatives who are performing Hajj are facing any problems.
"This application can be used on Android-based mobile phones. The public can download it through Google Apps with the name 'Kawal Haji'," he said.
"Prioritize Maintaining Health"
"Especially for the Hajj pilgrims who are currently in the Holy Land, Widi advises to maintain health and limit unnecessary activities in preparation for the upcoming peak of the Hajj."
"Jemaah can take advantage of the mosques around the hotel for prayers and other worship," said Widi, who conveyed that praying at the hotel and the nearest mosque has the same reward as performing it in Masjidil Haram."
According to Widi, besides filling time with dhikr and reading the Quran, worshippers can participate in guidance and consultation programs for worship regularly conducted by worship guides in each hotel. There is also health education provided by health officers. "Worshippers can take advantage of and undergo routine health check-ups at clinics available in each sector," he said.
