The increasing demand of Indonesian society for high-quality fragrances at affordable prices has apparently led to the rapid development of the local perfume business in recent years. Seizing this opportunity, two students from Jakarta named Given Susanto and William Gomarga decided to build their perfume business on Shopee. Called Heura, their perfume business has now grown and gained many customers.

Encountered by the media at the Shopee Super Awards 2023 event, this man, who has just turned 21, tells the story of the beginning of building the Heura brand. "So, I've always liked using perfume, but designer perfumes in the market are too expensive for some people, so William and I decided to create Heura," explained Given.

Heura wants a more exclusive branding, so Shopee is considered a more suitable platform. "We strive to make Heura 'different' with a strong marketing strategy and product quality improvement. This success is reflected in a significant increase in sales, reaching tens of thousands of products sold every month and a year-on-year growth of around 150 to 200%," said Given.

As a successful young entrepreneur, Heura not only contributes to economic growth through his business but has also created job opportunities for 35 people. Heura's success in utilizing the potential of the fragrance market in Indonesia and their ability to leverage the features in Shopee that can significantly increase sales.

"Even now, the sales figures are able to reach thousands of products in one month. It's no wonder that Given and William's business has been crowned as Super Growing UMKM, in the Shopee Super Awards 2023. "Honestly, we didn't expect to be honored as Super Growing UMKM in the Shopee Super Awards 2023. Because all we have been doing is focusing on studying our target market, and also learning how to optimize the features on Shopee that we use such as ads, vouchers, and other programs that help boost Heura's sales, up to this point," said Given."
