"5 Virtues of Giving Alms in the Month of Ramadan, Don't Forget"

5 Virtues of Giving Charity in the Month of Ramadan, Don't Forget

Dream - The month of Ramadan is promised by Allah SWT as a month full of blessings. In this month, many worship activities can only be done once a year, such as fasting and performing tarawih prayers.

5 Virtues of Giving Charity in the Month of Ramadan, Don't Forget

In this month, there are also many of our fellow Muslims who may not have enough fortune to break their fast or have pre-dawn meal. As Muslims, it is certainly our duty to help one another.

5 Virtues of Giving Charity in the Month of Ramadan, Don't Forget

Professor Dr. KH Nasaruddin Umar, the Grand Imam of Istiqlal Mosque, shares the virtues gained when we share during the month of Ramadan. What are they? Let's find out, so that it becomes our motivation to share abundantly in this blessed month.

1. Double Rewards and Purify Oneself

The rewards in the month of Ramadan will be multiplied by Allah SWT, including when we give charity. So, try to give charity no matter how small it is because the rewards will be multiplied.

According to the word of Allah above, giving alms will also purify oneself and one's wealth. Therefore, giving alms is highly recommended, especially if it is done during the month of Ramadan.

2. Sharing the Blessings of Wealth

The translated text while preserving HTML tags is: "The wealth that is owned is a blessing that Allah gives to humans. Therefore, giving alms also means sharing the blessings that Allah has given to our other brothers and sisters. If Sahabat Dream shares with others, then the wealth of Sahabat Dream will be even more blessed."

Food is also a form of sustenance and blessing that Allah bestows upon His creatures. Therefore, giving charity in the form of wealth or food to those in need also means sharing the blessings from Allah with others.

3. The reward is equal to that of a person who fasts.

"If you give food to someone who is fasting, then you will receive rewards equal to the person who is fasting, Sahabat Dream. "Giving iftar menus to those who are fasting has the same rewards as fasting without reducing the rewards of those who are fasting," said KH Nasaruddin."

This has also been mentioned in one of the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) which states, "Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without reducing the reward of the fasting person in any way." (HR. Tirmidhi).

4. Expanding the Heart

Sharing and giving in the month of Ramadan also widens the heart. When we share, we are trained to selflessly give away a portion of our possessions. Therefore, the heart will also learn to feel spacious. "When teaching children the goodness of sharing, it also means training them to widen their hearts. For example, we ask children to share their favorite toys with friends who are in greater need, then children will learn to be sincere," said Zaskia Adya Mecca in the same event.

5. Making Yourself and Others Happy

Have Dream Friends ever seen the smiles of people after being given something? They look happy and joyful, isn't it beautiful? Sharing with others means making them happy. A thank you accompanied by a wide and sincere smile is an unparalleled happiness.

If we share and give, we will directly see happiness radiating around us. Our feelings will definitely be happy too. Sharing and giving also means making ourselves happy. Don't miss this opportunity. One program that implements the virtue of sharing in the month of Ramadan is the program "Sharing Delicious Meals Full of Goodness" by Bango and Royco. Bango and Royco, in collaboration with BAZNAS, distribute 50,000 free nutritious iftar packages that will be spread across 24 cities in Indonesia.

"The program is a sustainable program aimed at improving the quality of life of the community in meeting balanced nutrition during the month of Ramadan," said Amaryllis Esti, Director of Nutrition Unilever Indonesia at the same event.

The text translates to: "The program "Sharing Delicious Dishes Full of Goodness" starts from the first point in Jakarta, namely at the Istiqlal Mosque. The launch at the Istiqlal Mosque also presents inspiring figures, namely Prof. Dr. KH Nasaruddin Umar (Grand Imam of Istiqlal Mosque), H. Rizaludin Kurniawan (Head of BAZNAS RI Collection Division), and celebrity Zaskia Adya Mecca. Report by Salma Rihhadatul Aisy."
