"Dream - Pilgrims must prepare several documents to perform the standing at Arafah. The Chairman of the Hajj Worship Organizer (PPIH) of Saudi Arabia, Nasrullah Jasam, said that the documents that must be possessed by the pilgrims include passports and Hajj visas."

In addition, starting this year, Saudi Arabia is distributing Smart Cards. He explained that this smart card functions when pilgrims are about to enter Arafah. "Pilgrims who are going to enter Arafah must have a smart card. And to have this, pilgrims must have a hajj visa," he said. Currently, the Smart Card is being gradually activated by the officials at the Maktab, and then distributed to the pilgrims. In the future, the Smart Card will be checked when pilgrims enter the Mashaer area (Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina).
Nasrullah, who also serves as the Hajj Consul, emphasizes that currently there is a tightening of the examination of pilgrims' documents. This examination is conducted by Saudi officials in various places, possibly including Masjid al-Haram and Nabawi.
"The inspection is to ensure whether the pilgrim in question has a hajj visa or not," he said. "For pilgrims who have the documents that I mentioned earlier, they are safe," he added.
Not only that, checks are also carried out at the entry checkpoint of the city of Mecca. "Checks at the checkpoint are also tightened. Officers ensure that pilgrims entering Mecca have a hajj visa and drivers who bring the pilgrims have permission to enter Mecca," explained Nasrullah.
"Previously, the Saudi Arabian Government distributed smart cards to the 2024 pilgrims, which are used as access to participate in the series of worship in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna)."
Indonesian hajj pilgrims are requested to always carry their smart cards while in the Holy Land, especially during the peak of the pilgrimage in Armuzna. The smart card is predominantly brown and white in color.
In the front section, there is a photo and profile data of the congregation along with a barcode that can be scanned to obtain the congregation's data. The data includes the congregation's name, photo, place and date of birth, visa number and the provider who issued it, as well as the location of the congregation's lodging in Mecca. Therefore, the congregation is advised to be cautious in ensuring that the card is not lost and to take care of it as best as possible.
