Dream - Hundreds of Indonesian pilgrims were seen crowding the area of gate 19 of the Nabawi Mosque in Madinah Al Munawarah after Maghrib. The male pilgrims were seen filling the area for the routine study session in Indonesian language delivered by a religious teacher from the homeland.
He is Ariful Bahri, one of the regular speakers at Masjid Nabawi. Since 2019, this man from Riau has been appointed by the management of Masjid Nabawi as a study presenter. Ustaz Ariful admits to conducting studies near door 19 every day. He only misses them when he is sick or has unavoidable needs.
"Leave if you are sick or have urgent family matters that cannot be left behind," said Ariful to the Haji Media Center (MCH) team, as quoted from Merdeka.com."
The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "The congregation does not need to miss out because they did not follow Ustaz Ariful's previous study. Because, he will review the previous material at the beginning of the study. The participants of the evening study were more than 300 people. In addition to Indonesian hajj pilgrims, there were also hajj pilgrims from Malaysia and Singapore. Ustaz Ariful Bahri sat on the pulpit chair and the congregation surrounded him."
Due to the large number of congregants who wanted to participate in the study, the soldiers (security officers) were busy organizing the congregants. At the end of the lecture, Ustaz Ariful Bahri answered a question from a congregant that was written on a piece of paper.
As information, Ustaz Ariful Bahri was born in Kecamatan Kampar, Kabupaten Kampar, Riau. He completed his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees at the Islamic University of Madinah (UIM). Ariful Bahri is currently the only Indonesian preacher at the Nabawi Mosque. In 2019, the Nabawi Mosque requested the Islamic University of Madinah to send students from Indonesia to participate in the selection process as speakers at Nabawi.
"The time I was returning to Indonesia. Suddenly, I was contacted and asked to return to Madinah to go to Masjid Nabawi," said Ariful.
After an interview test with one of the sheikhs, there were four Indonesian students who were declared pass. Two of them resigned. Only Ariful Bahri and Irsyad Hasan remained. However, Irsyad Hasan did not stay long as a lecture speaker at Masjid Nabawi. Now, Ariful Bahri is the only Indonesian lecture speaker.
Besides being a speaker in religious studies, Ariful is also busy writing. Some of his works include "Ziarah Madinah" and "Keutamaannya Serta Untukmu Wahai Tamu Allah". He wrote the books together with Ustaz Abu Yusuf. Ustaz Ariful Bahri has been living in Madinah for 15 years now. He brought his wife and four children to Madinah with him. "Our fifth child will be born soon. Insha Allah, in 2 or 3 weeks," he said. Report by Nisya Aprilya.
Yusron said that the two coordinators have been declared as suspects and detained in Madinah.
