Dream - Australia is indeed famous for its cattle farms that produce high-quality meats. The taste and texture of its beef are synonymous with a distinctive and enjoyable flavor.
The texture is also soft, 'melting' on the tongue. Curious about how the Australian beef dish is prepared by a famous chef, which will definitely be a special dish with a 'grand' taste?
Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) together with Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) has created the second edition of the global program, Aussie Beef Mates, featuring talented Indonesian chef, Edi Pancamala.
Chef Edi made several culinary creations of Australian beef served at Swissotel Jakarta, PIK Avenue for two weeks. To make this menu, he used beef from Queensland.
"Salah satu yang membedakan beef Queensland dibandingkan beef lainnya adalah teksturnya. Cara teknik memasaknya pun juga berbeda, seperti cut itu bukan cara memotong tetapi cut bagaimana yang kita masak. Kalau premium, buat grill seperti steak. Sedangkan brisket itu harus dengan memasak basah seperti empal, rendang," ujar Chef Edi dalam acara Aussie Beef Mate di PIK, 24 Januari 2024 kemarin."
The menus prepared by Chef Edi include Saikoro Rump Cap Beef Mentai, Hand Cut Beef Rump Medallion Tataki, and Rump Steak with Potato Puree and Truffled. Suitable for those who really like beef.
Chef Edi apparently studied specifically in Australia to be able to process beef in the right way. This allows him to create a series of special beef dishes.
"His love for food and expertise in the culinary field will further strengthen our commitment to promote Australian beef in the Indonesian market. Through this collaboration, MLA and TIQ hope to continue strengthening their relationship with the Indonesian market and driving demand for Australian beef," said Valeska, MLA Regional Manager South-East Asia.
